I figured why I'm unable to draw digitally as good as I can traditionally. Traditionally, I'm used to drawing with my face about less than a foot away from the paper. My laptop monitor, on the other hand is about a couple feet, maybe more. Secondly, I like to draw with fine point pencils. Recently, I started using smaller brushes (at least with this pic [link]) but it's not exactly the same. Almost, but not quite. I think I already mentioned I'm used to drawing in notebooks that allows some resistance when drawing, rather that drawing on a hard surface. I'm also used to being confined to 8.5x11 or 11x14 or whatever similar dimensions. I've been slowly mastering the technique of using different layers and such, but still not quite used of it. Alas, maybe one of these days I'll get used of digital drawing, though not anytime soon it seems like.
